Maybe I have just been reading too much Jack McDevitt lately, but this makes me excited. We’re launching a spacecraft which will be searching for Earth-like planets within our galaxy. Just finding another planet that we might one day be able to walk around on without spacesuits…awesome.

It’s a little hard to imagine that we have never been able to see this before, but the Mars Lander has actually seen snow falling on Mars. Sadly, the snow never reached the ground, but NASA seems to think it might sometimes. Pretty sweet.

Now they are just trying to send us a signal.

But, seriously. An unknown light in the sky? Awesome!
